Mini Split Systems
Year Round Climate Control
What are Mini SPlit systems?
Mini splits are a type of ductless heat pump that consist of an outdoor condensing unit, refrigeration lines, and one or more indoor units. They are also referred to as air-to-air heat pumps because they use refrigerant to move around existing heat energy, rather than produce new heat energy through burning fossil fuels.
In the summer, the heat in your home is absorbed by the refrigerant and then transferred outside to the outdoor condensing unit. In the winter, the heat pump works in the opposite way, using refrigerant to absorb heat in the outside air, and then transferring it into your home through the indoor air handling unit(s). Even when the temperatures in New England are well below zero, the system can still draw heat from the surrounding air!
Why Choose Ductless Mini Splits?
Energy Efficient
More Info
Since most of the heat is transferred rather than generated, mini splits and other heat pumps are far more efficient than conventional heating and cooling technologies such as boilers, electric heaters, furnaces and window a/c units. No ducts means no wasted energy or space. Mini split systems are also designed to modulate naturally, adjusting their output based on the demand for the heating/cooling needs of the space. No cycling on and off compared to conventional systems.
Improve Air Quality
More Info
The indoor units have built-in filters that capture dust, dirt and allergens to ensure the freshness of the air inside your home. Filters are easy to access, remove, and clean.

Quiet Comfort
More Info
These are the quietest air conditioning systems on the market. Our indoor units operate at an average of 32 decibels, compared to window A/C and central A/C at 50-70 decibels.
Room By Room Temperature Control
More Info
Each indoor unit of a mini split system can be controlled and set independently. Like sleeping in a cooler bedroom? Set the bedroom to 68 while keeping the family room toasty warm at 74! They are WiFi capable and compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant so you can adjust and monitor temperatures while you’re away from home.
Flexibility
More Info
There is a heat pump option for all applications, including older homes, new construction, supplemental heat/AC, whole home solutions, humidity control, air quality, any size of room or home with a range of styles!

Hydronic Radiant Floor Heating
We offer air-to-water heat pump systems for hydronic radiant floor heating, one of our customers’ favorite installations due to the silent, invisible heat it generates evenly across an entire space. This solution can be seamlessly integrated with a mini split system, and is a great way to generate high efficiency hot water without needing a geothermal system or loop fields.

Energy star
The energy star logo identifies which products meet energy efficiency performance levels set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
SEER
Ductless mini split systems can be rated in cooling efficiency using a SEER rating. SEER is an acronym for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio and is an energy consumption rating. The higher the number, the more efficient the system.
HSPF
Ductless mini split systems can be rated in heating efficiency using an HSPF rating. HSPF stands for Heating Seasonal Performance Factor. It represents total heating output relative to electricity used. Like SEER, the higher the rating, the more efficiently a product will warm air.
GHCS warranty
Our team at Green Home Climate Solutions guarantees our work! We will address any issue or concern with your unit for free within the first year of installation. Customers can also rest assured with a 12-year warranty on parts including the compressor, thanks to GHCS being a Pro Dealer for LG and an Elite Contractor for Fujitsu.
